Kennett Square Carport Build

Carport – Kennett Square, PA

This is a carport we built in the fall of 2016. It was constructed using all Mortise and Tenon construction. The project was located on a property in Kennett Square, PA at an old Quaker homestead that the owner had renovated. The goal was for this structure to blend in and look original. Douglas Fir roof decking, rafters, and beams were used for the carport. The exterior of the structure was built with T&G cedar siding.

Hired Smucker Brothers to replace an aging wood deck with composite material and all porch posts and railings to aluminum, which was just completed. Mike came out for the estimate also brought up a few things he noticed that needed attention, job started a week or so later. His brother Dave and his crew were always on time every day and did a outstanding job from start to finish with such attention to detail, work site was always kept clean daily, Dave was always around to take questions or address any concerns. Price was slightly higher than some competitors but well worth it. I would not at all hesitate to recommend or use again. Absolutely a 5 star contractor which is hard to find these days.

Highly recommend Smucker Brothers Construction! They planned and built us a 3 season sunroom, new deck, patio and outdoor kitchen with pergola.
