Featured below is a finished basement we completed in Malvern, PA during the summer of 2015. Before we met the owner, the basement was unfinished. Smucker Brothers Construction completed this project from design to build. Before starting the project, the home owner had an idea of what they were looking for. We worked together and delivered a finished basement that filled all of their needs and more.
The completed project includes a bedroom with an egress window, master walk-in, full bathroom with a tile shower, fitness room, game room, and large open area with a bar. The bar features custom cabinets, ledger stone pillar, and backsplash. We also made custom desks and bookcases for each child’s bedroom, TV built-ins in the family room, laundry locker cabinets, and custom shelving in all closets.

This involved removing our present roof entirely, building a knee-wall raising the height of the house one-foot and then building a new roof six-feet higher than the old roof. Building dormers in the roof they were able to construct five rooms, adding a new floor to our house. I was very impressed with the engineering and use of pre-fabricated beams to construct the new floor on the house. Mike Smucker led the construction with a regular crew of six skilled workers. Very dependable they always arrived on time and it was a pleasure to watch them work. The result is a beautiful home.
