We couldn't have been more happy with the porch. Mike and his team were professional, responsive, on-time, on-budget, and friendly. After meeting with numerous contractors to get estimates and guidance we decided to hire Smucker Brothers Construction to replace the deck on our home and it was an excellent choice. They walked us through the entire project and were always available to address any questions or concerns. The entire Smucker Brothers team was extremely professional, courteous and displayed exceptional craftsmanship during the entire project. We are extremely happy with the work they did on our home and would recommend them for any of your home projects. We acquired several quotes and estimates for a major demolition of original structure and screened in deck construction job. We chose Smucker Brothers based on reputation, competitive price and - most important - the professionalism and good ideas offered by Michael Smucker. We walked around the site with him while he surveyed the project. He listened carefully to our ideas and offered some different alternatives based on his experience. There was no pressure and we ended up adopting many of his ideas which were changes to our original plan.The proposal was detailed and straightforward and we signed the contract.The work crews were on time, clean and courteous, and extremely hard working. It was a pleasure to watch them work together. They were "on task" the whole day, took very few breaks, and end-of-day clean-up was always thorough. David Smucker was the site boss and ensured each day that we were happy with the progress and results. We were home nearly the whole time construction was underway and David consulted us as needed to make minor choices. e.g. "Would you prefer X or Y for this detail?" We really appreciated this close coordination. Alvin Smucker also worked on site a few times, mostly involved in the roof, soffit and siding. He offered some great ideas to improve the placement of the sky lights. The other workers, Mark, Leon and Sam were also outstanding. We also decided on an additional piece of work during the construction flow; to remove an exterior door and install a window in its place. Michael handled this easily with a change order to the contract and the guys did the work efficiently.Overall, this large project went very smoothly. We enjoyed the interaction with the workers and THE RESULTS EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. The large screened in porch is beautiful and has better quality than our original home construction. It's already our favorite space during good weather.We most highly recommend Smucker Brothers Construction.Jeff and Priscilla

After sorting through estimates from several builders, we feel so fortunate to have found the Smucker Brothers. Michael, Dave, and the crew recently completed our covered porch in West Chester and we could not be any happier - they exceeded our expectations, which weren’t low. The entire experience, from the first day Michael showed up to provide an estimate to the last day when they finished the steel roof, could not have been any better. The entire crew are polite, professional and hard-working perfectionists. Not only do they get all of the big things right — but they care about details that not all builders take seriously— showing up on time, keeping a tidy work space, reliable communication and true concern for customer satisfaction.
